2017 Ghana DJ awards open for nominations

According to the organisers, Merqury Republic Events, “the main objective of this awards is to recognize the electronic dance music scene, and seek to let the world know that the art of DJ’ing is a respected craft, with DJs playing a major roll in the overall music and entertainment industry.”

The 2017 awards is the fifth of the series, and the theme has been declared as “United by Music.” The nominees' list will be unveiled during the launch of the event, which will take place in Accra in March this year

A board of professionals DJs will make the final section after the window for entries closes, choosing the DJs who will be honored at the awards. In all, 23 awards will be conferred on deserving DJ’s for their outstanding artistry.

DJ Black, who has been a consistent winner at the awards, was crowned Best DJ of the year at the 2016 edition of the awards.
