Call for applications: Fête de la Musique 2017
Organisers of Fête de la Musique are calling on musicians from all music genres to apply for the sixth edition of the annual event that will be held on Saturday 17 June in Johannesburg, South Africa. The deadline for applications is Friday 28 April 2017.

Fête de la Musique is a free family-friendly event that celebrates live music. It hosts international artists alongside local musicians by providing a platform for upcoming talent and brings free music for all in a safe and inclusive environment.
With thousands of visitors on only one day every year, the event has grown to become a platform for both renowned and upcoming talents. The event is courtesy of the Alliance Francaise Johannesburg and the French Institute of South Africa in partnership with Bassline Live and the support of Total.
In 2016, Fête de la Musique brought together more than 8 000 people in Newtown, Johannesburg. Performing artists included Vaudou Game (France), Blk Jks (South Africa), Les Fantastiques (DRC), Jess & Crabbe (France), Bombshelter Beast (South Africa), Mapumba Cilombo (DRC), Morayks (Lesotho), Zanmari Baré (Reunion Island) and others.
