Call for applications: Visa for Music 2017

Visa For Music (VFM), a professional music market for Africa and the Middle East, is calling on artists to apply for its fourth edition that will be held from 22 to 25 November in Rabat, Morocco.

Those who were not selected in previous editions are also encouraged to apply.

A total of 30 artists or groups will be selected by a qualified jury to perform in front of music industry professionals from all over the world. The jury represents different musical aesthetics and the regions concerned: West Africa, East Africa, Portuguese-speaking Africa, North Africa and the Middle East.

Submissions are open until 15 April 2017 and any incomplete applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

To apply for this call, applicants should send the following documents:

  • Application form
  • A signed Visa for Music rules and regulations form
  • Two copies of the artist’s/band’s CD to be send by post or a WeTransfer with all the tracks
  • Press kit
  • Technical rider

Results will be posted online on the Visa for Music website starting July 2017. Applications should be sent by email to (preferably use WeTransfer orDropbox).
