Afrika Festival Hertme

The Afrika Festival Hertme takes place annually in the green open-air theatre in the town of Hertme in the Netherlands, near the German border. Considered by leading English world music magazine 'Songlines' as one of the 25 best international festivals for three years in a row (2013-2015), Afrika Festival Hertme has since 1989 become famous for its impressive line-up and intimate atmosphere. Besides hosting many of the best musicians from Africa, visitors also have access to a market with great food and drink. The festival's 28th edition takes place on 2 and 3 July 2016.
