Alliance Française Accra (Alliance Française d' Accra) is a non-profit organisation aimed at promoting French language, culture and Franco-Ghanaian exchange. It is part of the Alliance Française global organisation, comprised of 835 centres in more than 120 countries.
Being a culture organisation it holds culture events regularly. An estimated 85 events per year means it is an essential part of the culture scene in Ghana’s capital city. Several of the country’s visual and music artists have benefited from the organisation’s contribution. Alliance Française d' Accra was established in 1957, same year as host country Ghana obtained independence from colonial rule.
