Diba Diba

Diba Diba (real name Banele Mfundo) is a poet and hip-hop artist from Swaziland. His passion for music began when he was a teenager, learning at Baha’i and Nazarene High school. He draws his musical aspirations from life teachings. His music can be classified as Ngwane hop, a blend of rap, rhythm and blues and soulful music in vernacular.

Managed by Blaque Creations, his hit track ‘I Love You’ was well-received thus earning him a household name in the music scene. The track maintained number one status on the SBIS 2 Top Twenty programme for three weeks.

He has shared the stage with artists such as Siyinqaba Nomzamo, Teargas (South African music award winners and BET nominees) Prodigal Sonz, DJ Crooks, DJ 711, DJ Master P, Dj Patch, DJ Misto Soul, DJ Karly B, DJ Sue (S.A) and a whole lot of Swazi artists. He has also performed at the Bush-Fire 2011 and was also a guest artist at the Sprite show held at Mavuso Trade Centre. The show was a collaboration between MTN Swaziland and Swaziland Beverages. He also performed at the Legacy Festival at the Theatre Club that was held in memory of King Sobhuza in July 2011 at the Prince of Wales Stadium.

In 2012, he was nominated in the the Musician of The Year category. His entertainment company was also nominated in the Entertainment Company of The Year.
