Mac Elvis

Bio

He was born Mutalya Mac Elvis (M.A.C. acronym for Made Alive In Christ) on 1st Dec to Mr John Mutalya and Night Mbabazi . He is a born again Christian. His 2011 release, 'Church Boy' was an album full of mid-tempo jams and occasional club rockers. Mac’s voice is good, his lyrics are enjoyable, and the production is top-notch, all done by him which all adds up to an album that’s worth the money and showcases Mac’s real skill crafting simple, but memorable melodies.

Mac went on with the help of Sami - K to record his first single 'God So Loved' at First Love studios where he worked as a producer. This single gave him lots of opportunities to showcase his talent at the open mic sessions known as 'Gospel Night' where established artistes and upcoming ones met once a week to give back to the gospel fraternity and encouraged Christians with their music.

Finally after years of dreaming and hard work, he was able to record and release his first album entitled 'Yo Love' in 2009

The year 2010 saw Mac Elvis release 'Mufiirako' (I Die with HIM) ft Crystal Fabulous a song that was so successful and chart-topping which introduced E.Africa to a fresh new sound of urban gospel music. Currently Mac Elvis is having a season that artists merely dream about by enjoying the number one spot on almost every gospel count down in the country with his single 'Church Boy' ft Elandre from Dar-es-Salaam Tanzania off his 2011 release Church Boy album.

Mac has worked with various artistes like Soul 5, Danielle Puleng, Exodus, Peter Miles & Menshan, Crystal fabulous and has also opened for big acts like Papa San, Kirk Franklin, Cece Winans, Sean Slaughter. etc.
