Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA)

Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) is a statutory body established under the 1998 Communications Act. The body was established to regulate the provision of services in the country's communications sector namely telecommunications, posts and broadcasting. MACRA is among the three institutions established following the dissolution of the former Malawi Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (MPTC).
