Mbira Festival

The Mbira Festival is an event that celebrates mbira music in Zimbabwe. It takes place every year in September the Mbira month. The festival takes place in various areas in Harare and Guruve. In 2014, organisers of the event introduced a dancehall act for the first time to take part in the forthcoming events.
Dancehall artists such as Munashe Tanjani aka Spiderman and renowned reggae outfit from Sweden called VibeTricks featured in last year’s event. Organisers of the inaugural event argued that they decided to incorporate dancehall artistes to bring diversity.
