Roots Addis Sound was born in 2007. The founder, Dan.E, started as a selector in early 2000s, selecting roots reggae in clubs. The sound system was updated many times, starting with 2 bass boxes in 3 way.
Valve Amplification is highly important to produce the bass frequencies they desire. They also run transistors amps according to where and which conditions they play.
The aim of their frequent upgrades is to achieve soul upliftment. Roots Addis Records Label is also involved in promoting the best of roots and culture reggae music and dubwise.
