Sandra Huson

Bio

Sandra Huson is a Ghanaian jazz singer. Influenced by a music loving father, Sandra got into music early, already taking lessons in piano as a child. Tina Turner, Nat King Cole, Diana Ross were some of the artists she listened to, as were the European masters Beethoven and Mozart.

At six, she was writing her own songs. Her father would later get the family to sing on Ghana television, with the young Sandra performing 'Unforgettable' with her old man. At the Accra Girls High School, she took to stage on occasion. At the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she juggled her studies and music, performing weekly. She graduated with a degree in Industrial Arts.

In 2005, She composed a song called ‘We Are One’ for the 2005 United Nations Peace Day ceremony which was held on the university campus.
