Tumaini Festival

The Tumaini Festival is a one week event that is organised by the Dzaleka Cultural Association (DCA) in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, Dowa, Malawi. It was founded by DCA in 2014. The inaugural festival features cultural activities such as music, poetry, comedy, theatre, acrobatics, dance and art exhibitions.

The event pays hosts to many cultural activities from countries like Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Burundi and Ethiopia. It was designed to meet all the cultural needs of refugees and benefiting the host community. It also promotes Dzaleka talents and cultures of Malawians in the country. It is supported by Lake of Stars, Nyanja Productions, Plan Malawi and Music Crossroads.
