Zimbabwe Association of Recording Industries (ZARI)

The Zimbabwe Association of Recording Industries (ZARI) was established with the intention of advocating for transparency and fair treatment of artists within the film and music industry. It is characterised of leading music recording companies and film organisations who seek to control and harmonize the recording, manufacture and distribution of artworks within the arts industry.

In October 2011, ZARI availed CDs and DVDs on the market in a move bent on curbing piracy. In July that year, it requested the Commissioner of Police to set up an anti-piracy desk at each police station, which should be manned by police officers.
