Klobaa is an app that aims at connecting people with clubs, nightlife and events. With the Tanzanian live scene becoming more and more vibrant, fans find it difficult to make a choice as to which events to go to. Klobaa is aimed at enabling fans identify events happening in the city of Dar es Salaam besides serving as a guide to the city's vibrant nightlife.

The application was officially launched in Tanzania on 30 July during the Mwendo Kasi Festival. According to the app's website, besides connecting fans to events in Dar es Salaam Klobaa, users are able to to reserve a table or buy drinks upfront. Additionally, users who reserve tables at clubs would have “foot soldiers” on the ground to take care of them; basically getting the app users past club security, getting them comfortable and ensuring they’re served.

For fans the application will also double as a mini-social network that will enable them connect with other users at events.

Klobaa was developed by two childhood friends, Laurence Obi and Agu Agu. It was launched in Dubai in June 2016 and is set to be launched later in the year in three Nigerian cities: Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar.

Speaking during the press conference in Dar es Salaam, Perrycurtis Elechi, the executive director at Klobaa, explained that besides the app, Klobaa will set up a few initiatives aimed at empowering the Tanzanian youth.

The new ambassadors Navy Kenzo are hot property on the Tanzanian scene at the moment. The group was formed by Nahreel (born Emmanuel Mkono) together with Haika Marealle (popularly known as Aika) after the break-up of Pah One. Navy Kenzo found fame with their third single, ‘Chelewa’, a major hit in Tanzania. The group has since collaborated with local stars such as Vanessa Mdee.
