African Music Development Programme (AMDP)

The African Music Development Programme is a three-year project led by the International Music Council (IMC) and aiming to help building a sustainable music sector in Africa. Its objectives are: to increase professional capacity throughout the sector; to promote exchange between European and African music professionals; to promote the role of the music sector as driver and enabler of sustainable development; and to foster the network and to strengthen the infrastructure of the African music sector. In implementing AMDP, the IMC was privileged to work with 11 partners, including the African Music council (AMC), Makerere University, Busara Promotions and Music Crossroads.
