Magali Palmira Wora

Magali Wora grandit à Libreville, capitale du Gabon où elle a attrapé la passion du travail et ce besoin vital d’autonomie et d’indépendance.
Ses études qui l’ont fait passer par le Lycée National Léon Mba, l’emmènent à l’École Nationale Supérieure de Secrétariat en 2004, puis à l’Irma à Paris en 2006 et en 2007 où elle suit des formations courtes en management artistiques et entreprenariat de spectacles. Elle y découvre une autre vision des métiers liés à l’art qui confirmera son idée de créer sa propre structure Real Black Music. Après avoir été, secrétaire général du label Zorbam Produxion (du groupe de rap Gabonais Movaizhaleine), puis manager de l’artiste Naneth (finaliste du Prix Découvertes RFI en 2005), Magali Wora fonde Real Black Music en janvier 2006 afin d’assurer la promotion, le booking et le management d'artistes urbains sur le continent Africain et à l'international.
Toujours impliquée dans divers projets culturels, elle assure tour à tour les postes d’agent artistique, directrice artistique ou d’administrateur, notamment sur le Festival Gabao Hip Hop en 2009, avant de rejoindre Rockstar4000/Sony Music Africa en tant que Régional Manager puis MTV Base Africa en 2014. En 2016 et 2017, on la retrouve dans l’organisation du show télévisé Coke Studio Africa où elle est la tête chercheuse d’artistes francophones. L’année suivante, elle assurera le rôle de directrice de casting pour The Voice Afrique Francophone saison 2.
Toujours en quête de savoir et d’outils pratiques, elle suivra tour à tour une formation courte en régie générale à Yakaar (en 2009, Dakar), une formation supérieure sur le management culturel avec le Goethe Institute (2011, Hamburg) et une formation sur le leadership et la gouvernance culturel avec Arterial Network (2013, Douala). C’est ainsi, un savoir accumulé toutes ces années, entre formations et expériences, qu’elle partage habillement au travers d’atelier de formation.
Véritable entrepreneuse, l’année 2019 sera marquée par la sortie de son premier livre/guide sur le management artistique.
Ses projets ? Des rêves pleins la tête, deux nouveaux livres sur des thématiques toujours liés à l’exercice de l’art en Afrique, devenir maître de conférence et partager son expérience partout en Afrique et dans le monde.

Magali Wora grew up in Libreville, the capital of Gabon, where she got the passion for work and a vital need for autonomy and independence.
Her studies took her to Léon Mba National High School, the National School of Higher Education in 2004, and to Irma in Paris in 2006 and 2007, where she took courses in artistic management and show business.
She discovered another vision of art-related professions that confirmed her idea of creating her own Real Black Music structure. After having been general secretary of the Zorbam Produxion label (from the Gabonese rap group Movaizhaleine), then manager of the artist Naneth (finalist of the RFI Discoveries Prize in 2005), Wora founded Real Black Music in January 2006 to ensure the promotion, booking, and management of urban artists on the African continent and internationally.
Involved in various cultural projects, she variously assumes positions of artistic agent, artistic director, or administrator. She worked extensively on the Festival Gabao Hip Hop in 2009, before joining Rockstar4000/Sony Music Africa as regional manager, then MTV Base Africa in 2014. In 2016 and 2017, she worked on the Coke Studio Africa television show, where she is a researcher of Francophone artists. In 2018, she acted as casting director for The Voice Afrique Francophone, Season 2.
Always in search of knowledge and practical tools, she took a short training course in general management in Yakaar (in 2009, Dakar), a higher education on cultural management with the Goethe Institute (in 2011, Hamburg), and a training on leadership and cultural governance with Arterial Network (2013, Douala).
The year 2019 is marked by the release of her first book, a guide to artistic management.
Her future projects include two books on themes related to the practice of art in Africa, as well as becoming a lecturer and sharing her experience throughout Africa and the world.
