Alliance Française of Lusaka, Zambia is part of a network of 1052 Alliances set up in 152 countries. Established in 1972, the organisation brings in performers and films from Europe and Francophone Africa. Programmes are advertised on posters around town.
The Alliance Française in Lusaka offers so much more than French lessons. The centre is a hub for music, film, theatre, exhibitions and so much more. A number of International and Zambian artists perform and exhibit at concerts, art, cinema, theatrical plays and fashion shows.
There is a restaurant called Le Bistro which is open to the public on weekdays from 8am to 7pm and on Saturdays at 8am to 6pm offering continental meals. Le Bistro Bar offers a range of beers, soft drinks and coffee and is open before and after classes and events.
