fusion of Afrojazz and traditional blues reflecting his Rwandan roots.

KAYONGA, born on August 27, 1994, DRC and raised in Rwanda since 1995 is a lively musician singer based in Kigali. His journey into the world of music began when he discovered his passion for the piano while performing at his father's church in 2016, setting the stage for a remarkable career.

Formally honing his musical talents at Nyundo School of Creative Art and Music, KAYONGA delved into the rich traditions of music and expanded his skills across various instruments. This dedication and passion were the foundational blocks that paved his way to becoming an emerging and promising figure in the Rwandan music scene.

Over the years, KAYONGA has performed in various prestigious events such as presidential gala dinners, the African Union Summit in 2016 and 2018, The Mo Ibrahim Concert in 2018, Sofar sessions Kigali 2023 and Mabara Meza festival 2024. Rooted in Rwandan traditional music, Kayonga's compositions also bears influences from other different African music genres.
