Kwame Mchauru

Kwame Mchauru is an arts professional from Tanzania.

As of 2020, Mchauru was managing the Performing Arts department at Nafasi Art Space, where he manages artists, public events, tours, and bookings.

Mchauru worked as an assistant to the director of Busara Promotions from 2003 until 2007. His role was to assist the director as required but also dealing with day-to-day office enquiries and communications.

He has represented Busara Promotions in meetings and conferences locally and internationally. His other roles include coordination of Sauti za Busara festival and liaise with the selected musicians.

He has also worked as an international tour manager for Jagwa Music, Safi Theatre and the late Bi Kidude as well as cordinator at WaPi Zanzibar in 2008 until 2009.

Mchauru's other engagement in the Tanzania music industry was at Swiss Development Cooperation where he worked as a cultural program consultant.
