Call for applications: Arab world grants for training and events
The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) is calling on Arab individuals working in arts and culture to submit proposals for its Training and Regional Events grant.
AFAC awards grants for up to $50 000 to support trainings, workshops, residencies, symposiums, forums and festivals in the following fields:
- Music.
- Multidisciplinary.
- Film.
- Performing arts.
- Visual arts.
- Literature.
The projects may be implemented anywhere, and the time frame should not exceed 24 months.
Who can apply?
Project applications are accepted from Arab individuals irrespective of age, years of experience, country of residence, ethnicity, gender or religion.
AFAC accepts projects originating from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
AFAC also accepts proposals from local, regional and international institutions whose projects are related to Arab culture. These include artistic, cultural, social and educational institutions, galleries, centres and organisations, and governmental and non-governmental entities that are engaging with contemporary Arab arts and culture.
Applicants should note:

Each applicant (individual or institution) is entitled to only one application in the same category.

If an applicant has an application that is in process, s/he cannot submit another application in any category until the result of the current application in the process is announced.

The application deadline is 1 August 2021 and successful candidates will be notified on 10 November 2021.
