Call for applications: Music business bursary in the UK
ASM Global, in partnership with the International Live Music Conference (ILMC), is inviting young music executives and industry leaders from around the globe to apply for its 2022 Alia Dann Swift Bursary Scheme.
ILMC is a leading annual gathering of professionals involved in the global touring, festival and live entertainment industries. The 2022 bursary scheme will offer complimentary conference passes and mentoring opportunities to 30 young professionals. It is intended to provide a route for live music’s emerging executives to participate in ILMC for the first time.
Founded in 2018, the scheme is named after the late Alia Dann Swift, ILMC’s longstanding producer who was instrumental in both bringing talent into the industry and supporting and encouraging new ILMC members.
Eligibility
To apply, applicants should:
- Be a young executive already working in the live music business (suggested age: 30 and under).
- Have not previously attended an ILMC.
- Have gone through the ILMC nomination process.
- Be willing to attend a networking breakfast on 27 April.
Interested applicants can complete the application here.
The application deadline is 1 April.
ILMC will take place in London from 26 to 29 April 2022. The invitation-only event has been a meeting place for live music professionals worldwide for over 30 years, and welcomes 2 000 top professionals during the event. Through the bursary, the successful applicants will have a dedicated industry mentor and additional networking opportunities taking place at ILMC via the ASM Global family, offering them a chance to share knowledge, ideas and to build new contacts within the industry.
“After a difficult two years for live events, it’s exciting to be looking to the future and supporting young executives as the industry recovers from the pandemic,” ASM Global executive vice-president for Europe Chris Bray said.
