COVID-19: Apple Music introduces new playlists amid pandemic
Apple Music announced today that it had introduced two new playlists, The Get Up! Mix and Home Office DJ, on its platform.
The Get Up! Mix, which is now available to Apple Music subscribers around the world, can be found in the For You tab alongside users’ personalised Favorites Mix, New Music Mix, Chill Mix and Friends Mix. However, some subscribers may not see it right away.
The playlist uses Apple Music’s machine learning algorithms to blend and sequence a customised playlist. The playlist will be updated every Monday.
The music streaming company says the new playlist is a personalised mix full of happy-making, smile-finding, sing-along music that users love.
The Home Office DJ playlist, which can be found here, will feature recent pop, dance, hip hop, and R&B music, among other genres. It is designed to entertain listeners from 9am through to 5pm. The current list includes songs from artists such as The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and many others.
The playlists could be useful to users during the coronavirus crisis as many are forced to stay at home due to lockdowns and quarantines.
