Keturah

Keturah is an artist from Malawi.

She burst onto the local scene with her powerful stage performances at Mibawa Festival, Grittah’s Camp, Jacaranda Cultural Centre and other venues around the country. Her authentically African sound and bold, beautiful voice, have music lovers in the country excited about her musical journey.

Keturah started learning guitar and songwriting from her uncle at the age of nine. Her uncle was a virtuoso traveling banjo player and troubadour. Together they would sing harmonies around the village. Now an adult, she is intent on carrying on his legacy by bringing the ancient sounds of Malawi to modern audiences. After the popularity of her first single 'Nambewe' she formed a band to bring the big sound to the stage.
