Genius KD, a Ghanaian Alt-afro-fusion Musical artist, has carved a distinct niche in the music industry with his innovative blend of alternative and Afro-centric sounds. His journey began in 2012 during his high school years, when he started writing and recording songs professionally. By 2013, he began collaborating with renowned Ghanaian producers such as Rayne, Khendibeatz, KQTHEARTIST, Survival Beats, Platinum Producer (Jakhan Gravity), and Bla Broda, laying the foundation for his eclectic style.
One of his earliest tracks, the hip-hop single "Art" (featuring Mr. Muffin and produced by Netherlands-based Tantu), marked his entry into the scene. Over the years, Genius KD expanded his creative network, working with artists like Anabel Rose, Blackocee, Yaw Tog, Kojo Cue, Jay Michael, Big Skono, and Malai, among others, showcasing his versatility across genres.
In 2018, he announced his EP *Sweat & Prospect*, preceded by the single "Never Let Go" (produced by Rayne). That same year, he partnered with Lifestyle Dynasty Management to release "MK Story," a cover song highlighting his hometown, Mankranso, underscoring his commitment to community-driven storytelling.
Recognition followed in May 2021 when he won Artist of the Year at the inaugural Ahafo Ano South Awards, organized by Lifestyle Dynasty Management. By 2023, his dynamic stage presence earned him a spot in Prjct Kumasi’s Homesick concert series, further cementing his reputation as a performer.
