Cape Town Nu World Festival (CTNWF)

Formerly known as the Cape Town World Music Festival, the Cape Town Nu World Festival (CTWMF) is an accessible inner-city music festival showcasing the best in World Music in a format that is crafted to enlighten, entertain and engage. It represents a shift in the traditional festival model and sets itself apart in its pursuit of beauty through variety. With a line-up of local and international musicians representing a wide variety of world, experimental and alternative music, the festival's organisers aim to facilitate an experience where audience members leave inspired, connected and perhaps fans of something they have never heard before. The festival takes place at various venues in central Cape Town and includes a main stage, a free daytime stage, an intimate acoustic space and a late night Nu World dance stage featuring the best world dance music. The festival also hosts a series of music industry workshops as a build-up to the main event, as well as a daytime craft market, food stalls and bars on event days.
