Call for entries: Dance Days Chania festival in Greece

Now in its 11th edition, the annual event serves as a training and performance platform for participants who want to share ideas, learn more about the music sector’s challenges, and expand their networking opportunities. The event’s programme includes performances, workshops, site-specific projects and lectures, among other activities. 

Interested individuals should submit video dance works with strong and vivid imagery content as well as projects/artworks that enhance or challenge the approach or notion of choreographing for the camera.

The entrants should ensure that they have been granted the legal rights to use all copyrighted elements such as music, text, images and other media forms in the video for public broadcasting. All elements in the submitted video will be used and broadcasted by the festival in its public screening activities and online platforms.

Requirements

Entrants should submit the following:

• Link of the video with the proposed work (total duration of the work, not a trailer).
• Video stills.
• Brief description of the project.
• A brief biography.

Entrants should email the above materials to videodanceddc@gmail.com. They must upload the videos on a valid platform such as YouTube or Vimeo.

Below are the accepted screening formats:

• Frame Rate: 24,25 FPS.
• File Formats: MP4, MOV – Codec: H.264 video with AAC audio.
• Resolution: 1280 x 720 (720p, 16:9), 1920 x 1080 (1080p, 16:9).
