Afrika love is a monumental all star ensemble from South Africa.
The group features two master composers and instrumental virtuosos, US born saxophonist and reeds man, UKZN's Professor Salim Washington (based in Durban) and South Africa's finest pianist Afrika Mkhize in the forefront.
Their newly formed band is a powerhouse of instrumental mastery and ground breaking compositional comradery. With Washington and Mkhize's as the pillars, Dalisu Ndlazi on bass and Siphiwe Shiburi on drums makes the uniformed structure stronger, and the compositions surely are treated with utmost tenacity and a great depth of understanding.
