Call for applications: Landr collaborative music challenge
Music creation platform Landr is encouraging interested participants to enter its free music-making contest called Landr Challenges for a chance to win a co-release with producer, songwriter and online educator LXGEND.
How it works
- The competition will see established artists and brands partner with other creators and fans to create, release and promote their songs.
- Each challenge will feature ‘hosts’ such as established music artists, influencers and brands who will provide curated content to the contestants to create original music or remixes.
- The first challenge will be hosted by LXGEND, followed by Austin Millz and Social House.
The main aim is to gain as many votes for the participants’ tracks as possible. Entrants are encouraged to share their creations with family, friends and networks.
The top 10 tracks with the most votes will be judged by LXGEND via live stream to select the winner and four runners-up.

“We’re fostering a new sense of co-creation and community ownership, to support what many in the creator economy are trying to do on their own,” Landr head of strategy and partnership Daniel Rowland said. “The experience will give everyone that extra little nudge to inspire, if they are the host, or to push themselves to up their game, if they are submitting a track. The community aspect will open up new connections and new ways of making and sharing music together.
“We see Challenges as a new addition to other fan engagement and promotion approaches. Artists or brands can launch a challenge to celebrate a new release or to get fans involved in a remix or other creative project or campaign. Fans can find a new way to get involved with the music they love by acting as A&R for the creative community. It puts a different spin on the artist-fan relationship that will encourage creativity and meaningful connections.”
