ZEDMONK SSABATONTOMI

Zedmonk Ssabatontomi is an award winning artist, freelance actor, freestyler and an humanitarian under the office of the ambassador for women and girls Uganda, an influencer with RapAdverts, Founder/ CEO TRT Entertainment Africa, Founder of the Zedmonk Foundation and host of an online hip-hop show called Rapwithzedmonk.

Real names Kabuubi Akram, The teenage rapper was born on the 18th November, 2003. He started rapping in 2019 during his Senior four vacation and released his first song called 'Byokola', a dedication to Andy Events Music label and promoter Zest for giving him the first musical breakthrough.

In 2018, being an influencer with RapAdverts, he was endorsed with a 10yr contract to create business awareness campaign for KY Zamunyo Islamic Garments firm.

In June 2020, he represented his hometown, Bulenga on the Street credit show in which he participated in over 150 street battles ultimately earning titles as the Verbalking of RapWhatISee and RapwhatISay and two opportunities on two music projects called street credit bad and street go down remix featuring DJ Crim.

On 3rd March 2021, he released another song, 'Work Si Myaka' about having self belief for an inspiration and later participated in the MTN pulse Rap battles.
During the same period he was nominated in the FOYAwardsAfrica as the Entertainment Founder of the Year. He was invited to be part of the 8th edition of the Youth and hip-hop boot camp at lunkulu island at which he learned marketing and digital distribution skills and collaborated with fellow rappers on two songs,'lay low & Apio'.
Zedmonk Ssabatontomi won this Rookie of the year at this year's MTN UG Hip-hop Awards and this new track 'Amazima Agakaawa' is a victory lap for him.

Hip-hop inspires Zedmonk hence his well know monicker 'Ssabatontomi' which stands vfor epic rhyming abilities. The rapper is Known for his unique freestyles that are both educative and entertaining.
He believes that his talent is God-,given with a mission of fight youth unemployment, support families, fight for girl-child and Women rights and foster positive growth in the communities. Inspired by the late Esther Nakajjigo. he started a foundation in his name to further this cause.

His mentored by t the senior music analyst *Senior Sula* of 'Stone Age Entertainment' a man who has proved and stood there for the Hip-hop community.

The track was released on 1st August 2022 in an old school boombap Genre engineered by luwero's Beat maker 207. In it the rapper shows off his wide luganda diction. He lashes at social media critics, lazy youths, unfaithful partners and those who persistently claim that Ugandan hip-hop doesn't not sell. The song describes people's current lifestylez in a bitter truth disposition. It's video was shot by Hilary Je.
