Craig J. Full name Craig Joshua, born 1986 in Mitchell’s Plain, Cape Town, South Africa. Spent most of his life growing up in this neighbourhood with his brother and mother. Attended primary schools Riverside Primary in Athlone, Imperial Primary in Beacon Valley Mitchell’s Plain.

His academic prestige and sport interest turned into a blessing when granted the opportunity to attend Muizenberg High School, “The school beside the Sea”. While growing up he understood the privilege it was and the sacrifices it would take to attend that school and keep him there.

In that time he made use of every opportunity to explore all avenues he could and that’s where his creative side had the freedom to break free. Starting his acting from “The Sheep” in Joseph’s Technicolor Dreamcoat, to lead Roles in School One Act Plays. From sorting wardrobe and building sets behind the scenes to producing full plays at times, even forming part of the cast.  From posing for photos, to moving behind the camera taking them as well as video productions that sparked a nerve.

He explored many job opportunities from packing stock in shoe stores, selling products from call centres, as well as spending the bigger part of a decade in the insurance industry looking after peoples financial wealth but, soon realised that the hobbies Photography and Music is something much more than just the fun he has while doing it. Photography and Music allowed him to travel and live all over South Africa from small towns like Hanover, Phillipstown to Richmond, Beaufort West. Touching base in Johannesburg, George, Knysna Oudtshoorn and others. He performed in male tribute bands, cover bands as well as award winning male and mixed voice Gospel singing groups and choirs, while still continuing his Solo Singing Career. His Influences and Inspirations are Bill Gaither, Max Mace, Eric Benet, Motown, God and his brother among others.

Left at crossroads, as to what the future ventures would hold he founded and started a small production house based in Cape Town, called CJG Productions. A hub that would provide all services related to hosting an event and all the frills included.

In doing that he started to explore more avenues from winning awards in Graphic Design. Presenting TV Shows that has been broadcasted on National Public TV Channels as well as producing full TV Productions of full season 13 episode series, which has been and still continues to broadcast on National public and paid Television channels.

Besides managing artists he also conducts Music Industry Master Classes and is currently busy working on his debut Original Solo EP, which he hopes will reflect his perception and style of music. He is also currently busy with two TV Shows, that’s in pre production before being broadcasted on National TV.
