Mellow Creme
Bio
Mellow Creme is a hip hop musician, poet and creative director from Zimbabwe.
His lyrics are mainly centred around love and pan-Africanism. The musician often experiments with a number of different sounds in his music-making process and has now settled on fusing hip hop with traditional Zimbabwean music elements as his primary sound. In 2016, he released his debut album titled 'Mellow Madness' followed by his mixtape 'Mellowdramatic Vol 1' and album 'Theory Of Nakedivity' in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Mellow Creme continues to grow in leaps and bounds having collaborated with chart-topping artists Fungai Nengare, Black Pearl and Vito. He has also performed at prominent events such as the Harare International Festival of the Arts. In 2019, he embarked on a promotional tour across Southern Africa, which included opening performances for artists such as Cassper Nyovest, Kuzani and Samthing Soweto at GOG Soweto Gardens in Johannesburg.
Mellow Creme on 5 August released the remake of 90s classic pop single 'True Love' featuring Carlo Music alongside its lyric video. The musician is currently working on his upcoming album titled 'Fruits Of My Roots', which will be released in 2021.
