Open call: Music Connects Africa proposals in Zimbabwe
The British Council is calling on creative organisations, associations, or consultants based in Zimbabwe to submit proposals for its Music Connects accelerator programme.
The Music Connects Africa accelerator programme, previously known as Scripts and Bars, is rolling out the Music Connects Africa programme in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland in Zimbabwe and requires a dedicated partner to lead the implementation.
Through the Scripts and Bars programme, Music Connects Africa supported 100 emerging music and literature professionals across Zimbabwe. The programme awarded 24 grants, provided market access opportunities through 15 showcase platforms and has led to the creation of 36 jobs to date.
The call is designed for creative organisations, associations, or consultants based in Zimbabwe, working within the music sector. Below are some of the expectations:
- Delivering incubation sessions, business clinics, and festival showcases.
- Equipping participants with essential business and digital skills.
- Curating diverse music showcases and promoting innovative businesses.
