
Call for auditions: 2025 Madaraka Day celebrations in Kenya
Permanent Presidential Music Commission in Kenya is inviting talented musicians or creatives from Homabay County and its environs to participate in the upcoming Madaraka Day 2025 celebrations.

Madaraka Day is a national holiday that is celebrated every 1 June in every year in the Republic of Kenya. It commemorates the day in 1963 that Kenya attained internal self-rule after being a British colony since 1920. Kenya only attained partial independence on this day in 1961 and did not become a fully established republic until about three and a half years later, on 12 December 1964.
Auditions will be held in the following venues as per the respective dates:
- 24 March 2025 – Siambi Resort
- 25 March 2025 – Suba North Sub County Hall
- 26 March 2025 – Suba South Youth Resource Centre
- 27 March 2025 – Sindo Youth Vocational Training Centre
- 28 March 2025 – Ndhiwa Youth Resource Centre
- 29 March 2025 – West Kamagak Chiefs Camp
- 30 March 2025 – Omuga Technical Training Institute
- 31 March 2025 – ALAW Rachuonyo Hall
- 1 April 2025 – Got Oyaro Multipurpose Hall
- 2 April 2025 – Rangwe CDF Hall
- 3 April 2025 – Kabundo CDF Hall
Auditions will be held from 8am to 4pm.
All participants should their national IDs or passports.
