SA: nominees announced for SABC Crown Gospel Awards 2018

This year, the organisers added the Best Clap n Tap and Best Itende categories to the awards list. The organisers said entries for all categories exceeded expectations.

“The level keeps rising, we’re stepping up from last year’s level to this year’s new levels,” SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards founder and president Zanele Mbokazi said. “We celebrated 10 years last year and the level of the awards was nothing short of the best. This year, all eyes will be on the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. The public and the gospel industry patrons are invited to send suggestions.

“This year, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be bestowed to the most deserving industry force, over a convincing lifespan in gospel music. One who has developed, produced his or her peers and stayed within the course beyond the call of his or her gospel music duty.”
