Viewing his works as a whole, one can easily see his philosophy in life visualized as a physical manifestation of spiritual journeys and lessons.
Dj-ing from the age of six to performing on international stages, capturing life through the lens to impressing it on paper with ink, creating identities for companies to decorating walls of Accra with graffiti, Kwabena Danso, the product of a Ghanaian father and Russian mother can best be described as a multi-ability-artist with no boundaries.
Kwabena Danso aka JaHWi has been a driving force in the underground music and visual art scenes in Ghana over the last fifteen years.
JaHWi blends a unique range of vocal skills with spoken word and beat boxing. He is passionate about social issues, with themes ranging from self-awareness, spiritual growth, and African unity to Stories from the streets of Accra.
JaHWi’s unique fusion of sounds ranging from reggae to rock and hip hop, has thrilled audiences from weekly events like Bless the Mic and One Republic; to various major events and festivals including, The Kwame Nkrumah Centenary Celebrations, ACAWF 2013, ACAWF 2016, ACAWF 2017, Mother Earth Fest. 2016 to name a few.
He has opened for the likes of Culture, Rocky Dawuni, Kofi Ghanaba, Tony Rebel, Mutabaruka and Dobet Gnahore.
JaHWi’s debut album ‘Ancient Soul Cries’ was released on 24th April 2013, He is currently in the studio working on a second, which already consists of amazing singles like “The Call” and “Ma kuma Safoa’. His next major initiative is the ‘Ancient Soul Revives Project’.
