Samalie Matovu

The wisdom in Samalie's powerful lyrics spring from her experience growing up in Kampala the capital of Uganda, East Africa known as the pearl of Africa.
Samalie is one of Uganda's leading Artists whose Musical Career has seen her traverse the world through her inspirational music that not only entertains but soothing to the soul.

Samalie's Christian background created a base for excellence in her Music compounded with the fact that she started at an early age, at school in her eighth grade. As a Christian, she has always been involved in the numerous City Gospel Music Festivals that helped sharpen her talent, something she attributes to the agility and consistence of the directors she was under, notably from Liberty Worship Center, both worship house being renowned for nurturing great talent in the Music industry.

Her talent was quickly recognized by the then Afritendo Music Group that exposed her to numerous tours in the U S and South Africa until she went solo with her first hit "Omukwano Gunyuma, which was a great success. She has the flexibility to do all genres of music, something that makes her appealing to an all-round audience
his helped shape my music career.

She is still continuing to produce tracks which are refreshing and original.
Matovu has performed all over Uganda, USA and South Africa and worked with a number of great Ugandan gospel singers. Her extraordinary uplifting music creates a joyous spirit that is helping to win the lost soul. She states "I believe my music makes an eternal difference to souls".
