Ze Spirits Band
Bio
Ze Spirits Band is a group of young, talented and enthusiastic musicians from the Tanzanian east coast of Bagamoyo.
Since 2010, they stood together as a band creating an Afro-fusion sound inspired by the Tanzanian vibe of traditional dances, songs and rhythms, with the addition of contemporary styles of music.
Initially they begun as a traditional and contemporary dance group in 2008 when the common idea of empowering people through music brought the members together.
In Tanzania and other African countries, Ze Spirits Band is well known for their energetic live performances and for engaging the audience with their dynamic combination of grooves and percussion's.
Ze Spirits Band have performed at Karibu International Music Festival (Bagamoyo, Tanzania), the Beat Festival (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania), Irimba Cultural Festival (Arusha, Tanzania) and on events like Pan-African Liberation Day (Nairobi, Kenya).
To spread their word they also participated in projects like Chanjo Ya Rusha, an eight-month music tour against corruption, and in the Jua Art Foundation project, which teaches children traditional dances and music.
