Call for entries: Limpopo Gospel Music Awards 2019
The organisers of the Limpopo Gospel Music Awards (LIGMAs) are calling on artists to submit entries ahead of the awards ceremony at Meropa Casino Hotel in Polokwane, South Africa on 7 December.
The nominees will be announced on a yet to be announced date and venue. Entries are underway and the submission deadline is 1 November.

Once completed, the entry form should be submitted together with a CD/DVD in a sealed envelope and a signed copy of rules and regulations form.
Eligibility
- The entries are open to all recording artists or producers (individual/ group).
- The entries are intended for South African citizens originally from the Limpopo Province.
- LIGMA reserves the right to request proof that all artists. Producers and engineers also qualify.
- All recordings submitted for this year’s awards must have been commercially released (in other words first made available for purchase by the retail trade) in South Africa between 1 November 2018 and 30 September 2019.
- It’s advised that all albums be marked with the year of release and registered with RiSA.
- Unless otherwise stated, awards are presented for album releases. An album is defined as a commercially available CD or a commercially available digital release.
Prizes
- Cash prizes and statuettes are awarded to the winning artists except where the category states otherwise, as the case may be. Artists or producers who are nominated in any categories are expected to attend the awards ceremony.
- Those who fail to attend the awards ceremony will not be eligible to receive the cash component of their award, nor will they receive the statuette. Exceptions to this rule will be considered provided that application is made by the nominee, giving written notice of their inability to attend, with an accompanying motivation to be received by LIGMAs within 14 days of the nominees being announced.
- The winners in all categories, except the Best Gospel Artist, will receive R10 000. The winner of the Best Gospel Artist will walk away with R20 000.

All submissions should be submitted physically at:
Limpopo Provincial Department of Sports, Arts & Culture offices in Giyani, Modimolle and Polokwane. The submissions can also be made in Thohoyandou, the Limpopo Tourism Information Centre in Makhado and Marketing and Media Group in Midrand, Johannesburg.
