Kelvin Jones is a Zimbabwean artist known for making headlines with one of his original compositions which reached over 1 million views on YouTube. He is now based in Stevenage, in the U.K.
Born in Chitungwiza in 1995, Jones later moved to the U.K. when he was aged 9. He pursued his Civil Engineering degree at Portsmouth University but later dropped to become a full time musician.
His interest in music developed when he was four years old. At that age, he liked playing the guitar. This saw his passion for music developing and he began composing his songs in 2013. His song ‘Call you Home’ received over 900 000 views. It was also featured on Good Morning America. He also did his own renditions of Aloe Blacc’s ‘I Need a Dollar’ and ‘Superstitious’ by Stevie Wonder which also received well above 100 000 views. He has performed in several cities such as London, Portsmouth, Southampton, Bath and Brighton.
Some of his songs include ‘If You Know’, ‘Wait For You’, ‘Call You Home’ and ‘The Paramount Deceptionss of a Concubine’.
