Da Real Motive

Da Real Motive, whose real name is Qinani Sokhulu, was born in Stanger and has been making music since 2016. His musical journey began when his best friend introduced him to FL Studio, and he started experimenting with sound. In 2020, Da Real Motive transitioned to making music full-time, falling in love with deep house music.

Currently, he collaborates with prominent artists such as DJ Luxonic, Dunn's Sa, Status Quo SA, and YB Switched, among others. Da Real Motive honed his skills in deep house and Afro-tech by learning from some of South Africa's top producers, including Dysfonik SA and Buddynice, through online tutorials on platforms like YouTube. Additionally, he is a self-taught expert in the gqom genre.

Over the years, Da Real Motive has released music under Foniklab Records and worked with various artist labels. He is considered part of the new wave of producers set to shape the future of music in the coming years.
