Marvin Ugorji
Bio
Marvin Chikadibia Ugorji is a musician from Lagos, Nigeria. He was born on 28 March 1986 to Mr and Mrs Joseph Amanze. He is the second child in a family of five boys. Best known as Waves, Ugorji is also a poet, writer, DJ, actor, blogger, model, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, scriptwriter and songwriter. He draws his aspirations from artists such as Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Lucky Dube and Hattie Mc-daniel.
Ugorji graduated from ASTEC in 2003. While at ASTEC, his love for music prompted him to join an acappella singing group called Kings Ambassadors. The group was made up of Victor Ugoala (vocalist), Marvin Ugorji (vocalist), Ejere Ugboh Kalu, Ndubuisi Alor (bass). He left the group and formed Paradise Singers. The group was made up of four singers namely Marvin Ugorji, Chigozie Ofoedu, Anthony Ejimofor and Dube Lawson.
Apart from the arts, Ugorji studied a degree in Biochemistry at Michael Okpara University to study. He also studied Environmental Engineering Technology at Federal University of Technology.
He is a three times winner of the Nigerian idol contestant, two times MTN Project fame contestant and Glo X-Factor contestant.
