Matovu Samalie

Matovu Samalie is an award winning artist from Kampala, Uganda. She is a singer and a key member of the Liberty Worship Centre. She started singing at a very young age. She joined the school choir at the age of eight. At the age of 14 years, she gained maturity and started singing in the church choir. Her dream of becoming a professional artist were archived when she Pastor Imelda Namutebi Kula who became her mentor.

She has recorded a number of songs and won several awards. She has released songs such as 'Thank You', 'Destined to Win', 'Omusayi' (The blood), 'Vanity', 'Omukwano Gunyuma'. 'Omukwano Gunyuma' won the Song of the Year award in 2010.
