Jay SA

Jay SA (born Hlomla Mpongoshe on 18 November 1997) is an artist from South Africa.

He grew up in the dusty streets of Fort Beaufort, Eastern cape. At the age of 11 Jay started joining street cyphers and got his name on the streets. After saddening news of the Prince's mother's death, Jay had moved to Port Elizabeth. This is where he got more exposure and got known very well because of his passion for music.

He has shared the stage with artists like AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Emtee and Destruction Boys.

IN 2020. Jay SA started his own record label. A music company called future Star Entertainment. He was recognized and funded by the Department of Arts and Culture to bring opportunities for the youth and upcoming artists. The bay live sessions became a great experience in the arts sector of Port Elizabeth.

Jay SA has been partnering with the Department of Arts and Culture to bring developmental projects and allow upcoming artists to showcase their talents and share the stage with national acts.

In 2021, Jay SA was booked again to perform at the biggest festival in the Eastern Cape. The 10th Ebubeleni Music Festival.

Entering the new year 2022, Jay SA strives for the greatest. He is looking forward to partnering with Sponsors to bring economic growth and Development in the arts sector of Eastern Cape.
Later on in 2018 Jay monster was nominated as The New Comer and
Best Album by the Nelson Mandela Bay Music Awards. And the
artist bagged the Hip Hop Award.
ACHIEVEMENTS.
 2018- Best Hip Hop Artist(NMB AWARDS)
 2018-Performed alongside Cassper Nyovest & Nokwazi.
 2019- Performed at Ebubeleni Urban Festival.
 2020- Hosted BAY LIVE SESSIONS in Partnership with the
Department of Arts & Culture.
 2020- Had a provincial Radio Tour to Forte FM,KQ FM,TRUFM
,BAYFM and a TV interview on BAYTV.
 2021- Hosted BAY LIVE SESSIONS S2 with Arts & Culture.
 2021- Nominated as Best Eastern Cape Artist (Mzantsi Media
Awards)
 2021- Performed alongside Kabza De Small, A-REECE, DEE
KOALA AND ZAIN SA.
 2021- Booked at Ebubeleni Urban Festival.
- Partnered with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and the Department of Arts and Culture to bring a Developmental Capacity Building workshop that has equipped creatives with knowledge and expertise to embark on their journeys.
