The /Ae //Gams Festival

Established in 2001 by the City of Windhoek, The /Ae //Gams Festival is a festival that puts emphasis on celebrating the cultural diversity of Windhoek. The city has an objective of playing an important role in contributing towards the development of arts as a means of expression. Some of the activities that are showcased at the high profile event include teaching people how to play drums, entertaining the audience with dance, drama and painting. Music groups such as the Bullet Ya Kaoko and Makgona cultural group have on several occasions attended this festival.
