Bio

Castro d’Destroyer (real name Theophilus Tagoe) is a Ghanaian artist. He came into prominence after releasing the song ‘Sradenam’. The success of the song fed into both his second and third albums (‘Toffee’ and ‘Comm.Center’) which were well-received.

2008 saw Castro release ‘Fakye’ (Forgive), his fourth album, A lack of promotion stunted sales of the album and Castro left his label 2010 and recorded his fifth album ‘Back to the Sender’. The single features Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan (Baby Jet) on the song titled “African Girl”

In 2004, Toffee won three awards at the Ghana Music Awards UK. And in 2006 the song Toffee won Album of the Year and its one of its songs song the Best Hiplife Song of the Year. In away Benin Republic he also won the Black Heritage Music Awards in 2007.
