Bio

Born in Wum but raised in Jakiri in the North West English speaking region of Cameroon. Damien Blue born Nyuyse Damien Senyuy became involved with arts and music at the age of ten. Damien Blue is a Singer, guitarist, harmonist, songwriter and specialized Fine art artist. Damien Blue, has an impressive curriculum both as a studio performing and a visual artist. Amongst many others, his deep acoustic melodies, Soul, reggae dancehall and soft voice can truly awaken your senses.
In 2012, despite many challenges, Damien Blue stayed glued to his passion for music and arts and released his first single “ANGALE," from his debut album called "ANGALE" produced by CHILLEN MUSIC. This song was inspired by the HIV/AIDS pandemic which killed many in his community and left many families in pain. The single was a pivotal moment for BLUE BOY. In 2013, He released two single "Ikong" duet Sparks Davirus and "Adu a Dzefe". "Adu a Dzefe" was the soundtrack for the award winning movie titled PINK POISON produced by Agbor Gilbert (AGE production) and directed by Neba Lawrence.
His ability to sing in Lam Nso, English, French, Douala, Lingala and Pidgin English. Coupled with his very pleasant voice, lyrics, Soul, sensational performances with the guitar and harmonica and a nice sense of humor. Coached by Ngomba Emile In 2014, Damien Blue earned the number one spot at the South West regional Competition for CAMEROON MUSIC STAR and 6th at the Nationals of the same competition which was follow by a National tour. He released another beautiful motivational single title "Dreams" in late 2014 upon his return from international tours in South Africa, Kenya, and Dubai. And in 2015, Damien Blue was part of the Bright Light project "Cameroon for Ebola Orphans" to raise funds to support Orphans in affected country. This project brought together artist like Prince AFO AKOM, Armand Biyag, Le Berger, MINKS, Mr. Leo, Salatiel, Daddy Black, Rude Bway, Dr. Sley, TBOI, Papa ZOE, Mary Asaba, Herve Nguebo, DUC Z, Papy ANZY, Bibiane Sade, SPIDO, Vreezy Ville, Esthy Mayep, FONKIS, Masi Essomba, Blaise B, and Adango Salicia for the song titled "We do it for Africa".
Damien Blue had praises from fans after the release of another beautiful Soul produced by Jery Berson titled "BUNADU" (Lazy Bones) in 2016 in which he calls on youths to be conscious of the importance of education as it is the key to success and a greater future. BLUE BOY won the New Breed Award in the Category Best Afro Jazz Artist of the year 2016. And has released steady stream of singles and He is now working with Alpha Omega recording for his second studio Album which is rich with Afro fusion, Reggae dancehall, Afro pop, Afro Jazz and Soul. Two singles titled "GONE" and "Liberte" are set to be released in 2018 while the album is set to be released in 2019.
