Dave Keyz

David Walubita also known as Dave Keyz is a Zambian multi talented Jazz fusion composer, music producer/sound designer, audio engineer as well as session musician. Inspired by watching and listening to live music performances at local beer halls whilst he was a toddler. He would sneak out of home after school to listen to live music at nearby bear halls though most of the time, he would be denied entry due to age restriction. 

As Dave Keyz was maturing, he acquired the skill to play the guitar and later on in the late 90's, he was a guitarist in a reggae band called Genesis. The Genesis band never lasted long, it got disbanded. This led to Dave Keyz venturing into being a session musician contracted to assist in Live stage performances as well as studio recordings for a diverse range of local artists. As a result of interacting with music producers/ audio engineers and other music recording studio stuff from different music production houses, Dave Keyz learnt how to skillfully manipulate music making technical riders for digital and analogue audio studios.

 Dave Keyz interacted and shared the stage with renowned  reggae super star Jephter Mclymont popularly known as Luciano, he also shared the same stage with another Jamaican reggae artist,  Bogle Broadie AKA Ras Zacharri. Dave Keyz  further shared the same stage with the late Zimbabwean maestro Oliver 'tuku' Mtukudzi.

In the line of studio works, Dave Keys produced, mixed & mastered a wide range of genres ranging from Hip-hop, dance-hall, reggae, afro-fusion, choral music and jazz. He worked with up-coming underground artists and veteran artists such as Uncle Rex, whose partly the influence in Dave's jazz piano music currently. Dave Keyz got the inspiration and the love for Jazz when he was working on Uncle Rex's 'This is me' album.  

Dave keyz is now an expressive jazz fusion pianist whose currently working on his jazz recordings. He continues to assist other artists and bands as a session artist. On the other hand he is still producing, mixing and mastering music for other artists and creating captivating radio jingles for different entities. Currently, he's been contracted to produce a reggae compilation album and a dance hall compilation album sponsored by the Ubuntu Bwesu Society,
