Bio

Dixon was born Daniel Nasou on 21 March 1982 in Katutura, Namibia. The musician developed a passion for music at an early age,often singing in church. He joined the Namibian music industry in 1995 when he met Jericho and began featuring on Jericho’s albums, on songs such as ‘I Can’t Let Go’, ‘The Truth’ and others. The artist has since done collaborations with many other Namibian musicians, including Damara Dikding, Qonja, The Dogg, Ou Stakes and D-Naff.

Dixon has to date released three solo albums: ‘This is Me’, ‘Thank You’ and ‘Strong’. His debut album, ‘This is Me’ won Best Album at the 2012 Namibian Annual Music Awards and also earned Dixonthe Most Disciplined Artist of the Year award. The artist has opened shows for artists such as Mafikizolo and Professor from South Africa. In 2013, the artist toured America and performed in Washington DC and New York. In 2014 he took part in the Last Band Standing competition, performing with a live band. In November that year he released his third studio album, ‘Strong’. It earned NAMA nominations for Best Collaboration, Best Damara Punch, Best House, Radio Song of the Year, Most Disciplined Artist of the Year and Most Popular Artist of the Year.
