Freshlikeuhhh, is an African music artist responsible for a wave of industry changing sounds from the year 2015 - present.

He co-founded the movement Bar es Salaam which saw a group of young artists release seasonal projects and merch that inspired a new generation of East African artists and performers. He was also one of the founding members of the movement Tema Yai Nation which was born to empower bilingual and trilingual music artists in Tanzania to break through the clutter in an industry that was dominated by Swahili speaking content creators.

With 3 EP’s to his name, and even more singles, Freshlikeuhhh is an artist that looks to bridge different sounds from all over the world, with the intention of making a unique fusion of what is known as New Bongo Flava. “I am not just an artist, I am art itself”, he says. “I’m not just a rapper or a musician, I’m a painter, I’m a preacher and the piece of art I get to put out there every single day is myself.”

From a young age, Freshlikeuhhh was being modeled and molded to take on the world stage. In his early years in school, he used to recite old English poems by the likes of William Wordsworth in front of crowds of hundreds. Recitals turned into a passion for poetry which grew into a curiosity about rhythm which then bloomed into one of the finest lyricists in Africa.

Notably known for making love songs (he has notoriously been dropping a song every Valentine’s day for the last 9 years), he says, “I make music about love because it’s really something the world needs so much more of. Love is everything. So with the mic, I can teach and preach about love, I can share the sides of love that I have and haven’t seen, while learning from my fans in the process.”

Freshlikeuhhh represents the Tanzanian city of Dar es Salaam which is now famously known as Bar es Salaam, but he also represents The Kingdom of eSwatini which is where his Mother hails from. All in all, he is a true African child and carries the continent on his shoulders wherever he goes.
