Bio

Born Meneka Chishete on 27 October 1994, Goose Major is a talented upcoming rapper from Copperbelt, Zambia whose music career as a rapper kicked off in 2010. He refers the time when he began his music as a ‘Punchline Era’. He draws his musical influences from artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z, Slapdee, Macky 2, Pompi, J cole and Drake.

He grew up listening to a variety of rap musicians. Music shaped the way he grew up, the friends he had and his character both as a rapper and an ordinary individual. His tough background made it easier for him to combine life as an artist and as Meneka Chishete.

In 2012, he released a mixtape titled ‘Turn Of Events. This was followed by the release of another single called ‘Pambali’ (2015). Another song that he released in the same year is called ‘KopaBelt State Of Mind’. He went on to release another song, this time a cover of Slapdee’s hit song ‘Somone’. The song was dropped four days after the release of ‘KopaBelt State Of Mind’. Another song by Goose Major is ‘Mubili Mubili’.

The song featured Bobby East. Goose is reportedly going to work on more songs, an EP and videos in 2016. He is looking forward to a number of collaborations with some of the country’s greatest artists.
